Welcome to the website of the Illinois Valley Latin Mass Society. Under the direction of the Catholic Diocese of Peoria, we are pleased to offer the Traditional Latin Mass (also known as Mass in the Extraordinary Form) at the beautiful Shrine of the Queen of the Holy Rosary in LaSalle, Illinois.

Latin Mass is offered at the Shrine every Sunday at 10:00 am. Most Sunday Masses are Low Mass (recited). However, every 3rd Sunday we are pleased to offer a sung High Mass (with readings and prayers chanted). On the third Sunday we also gather for coffee and donuts in the basement of the church. The Traditional Latin Mass is also offered at the Shrine of the Queen of the Holy Rosary on the first Saturday of the month at 8:00 am.

There are booklets available to guide you in following the prayers of the Mass. Also, hand Missals are available from the Illinois Valley Latin Mass Society for a suggested donation of $40.

You will discover that the Latin Mass is a quiet Mass, very conducive to prayer and meditation.

In this hectic and sometimes harsh world in which we live, we need a quiet place to seek refuge in the house of the Lord.

But, most of all, we need to allow ourselves to become co-victims with Our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ in His perfect Sacrifice for the redemption of the world.
